For people who want to create something lasting

The teak root table "Breath of the Years" is not just a piece of furniture, but a life companion – created from decades of growth, shaped by wind, water, and sun, and formed by experienced hands.
Each table is unique: its immense hardness (over 1500 ibf) and deep grain speak of the decades that have shaped it. The surface—solid, warm, 6 cm thick—is chemical-free, polished with only love and patience until the natural scent and velvety feel of the wood surface fill every room.
What makes this table unique? It exudes an incomparable wood fragrance, which is proven to improve air quality and repel insects—a benefit that even the most modern designer furniture can't match. Thanks to the natural oils, the wood remains resistant to moisture, heat, and cold even after years.
Not an industrial product, but a silent homage to the times.

Four worlds – Four stories

1. For people who want to give a feeling of home:
Imagine a peaceful Sunday afternoon: The sun dances across the vibrant wood structure, your family sits together, chatting, laughing—and in the center, a table that's not only practical, but also noticeably warm. This table is more than just a functional object: It's a place of remembrance and a haven of peace, making your home feel complete—just like the harmony you seek.

2. For lovers of nature & authenticity:
If you run your hand over the growth rings, you can feel the ocean, the wind, the forests of Indonesia. No two tables are alike. The wood breathes – with each day, it releases a hint of its aroma. For those who seek the authentic, the unadulterated, and who see furniture not as decoration, but as a commitment to nature.

3. For design connoisseurs with aspirations:
Form follows function – but here, form follows life itself. The extravagant, flowing lines and the mix of solid tree disc and expressive root base make this piece of furniture a statement of individuality and sustainability.
Do you value honest craftsmanship, provenance, and substance? Here, there's no fake, no veneer—only what nature itself created, perfected by craftsmanship.

4. For people with an eye for the special and lasting:
Whether in a lounge, reception area, or conservatory, this table stands out without being overly loud. It will accompany you through all seasons, remains beautiful even outdoors thanks to its durability, and develops more and more character over the years. Those who value sustainable materials and long-lasting quality are investing in a piece of their own lifetime—not in quick consumption.

Inspiration from everyday life

  • Living room centerpiece: As a communication island, reading table or elegant coffee table – attracts attention and creates warmth

  • Reception/Office: For business premises that value substance, quality and sustainability – represents style and attitude

  • Conservatory/balcony/garden: Thanks to the natural oils and the resistance to weather, a long-lasting piece of jewelry even outdoors

  • Open spaces and hotels: As a unique piece among modern designs, an anchor point that triggers conversation and enthusiasm

Uniqueness that you can see and feel

"Every line, every curve, every branch of this table is a piece of lived time—uncopyable, unrepeatable. What remains is the feeling that with every touch of the wood, a breath of the past is brought into the present. That's more than design. That's true value."

Real substance instead of mass-produced goods

  1. Pure solid wood: Your table is made from a single, hand-picked teak tree slice – no veneer, no invisible joints, but visible honesty and maximum stability (6 cm tabletop instead of the usual 2 cm, hardness > 1500 ibf).

  2. Craftsmanship & nature instead of industry: While most furniture is manufactured industrially and painted or veneered several times, our tables are created using traditional handcraft – every detail is tangible and visible, every knot and every hole is deliberately preserved.

  3. Unique pieces instead of uniformity: No two tables are alike. The variety of grains, knots, and root structures makes each piece a collector's item – with documented origins and history.

  4. Air improvement and natural health: The authentic wood scent and natural oils ensure antibacterial indoor air – an advantage that coated mass products can never offer.

  5. Long-term investment: Teak wood remains beautiful and stable for decades, develops a unique patina over time, and can be completely refurbished if necessary. Many customers report that they have even been able to resell their pieces at their original price after years of use.

Compared to cheap, industrial replicas made of pressed wood, MDF or veneer, our product stands out through genuine value, sustainability, durability and what you won't find in any catalog: personality.

FAQ · Questions that really matter

Where can I buy this teak root table? Is there an exhibition?

Answer:
You can purchase this table directly from the Buddha Deko online shop or experience it, touch it, and compare it with other unique pieces in our showroom in Feuerthalen (Zurich). Our store carries more than 250 individual pieces, each one unique. Personal consultation is a given – we look forward to your visit!

Can I compare several similar root tables on site?

Answer:
Yes, our showroom in Feuerthalen always offers a large selection on-site. You can compare different grains, sizes, and designs and experience the quality and uniqueness for yourself. Many customers enjoy taking their time and come with family or friends to choose.

What happens if I want to exchange the table or select it again?

Answer:
You can return it within 15 days without giving any reason, or exchange it for a different model within 30 days, as long as the table remains undamaged. Just drop by or contact us – we want you to be truly happy with your choice.

Is there a maintenance, spare parts or repair service?

Answer:
We offer a free lifetime maintenance service in our showroom. We can supply or replace spare parts such as glass tops upon request. We handle minor repairs quickly and easily—a benefit rarely found in mass-produced industrial furniture.

How long is the warranty valid? Is there insurance?

Answer:
Our solid wood tables come with a 2-year warranty on materials and workmanship. Additionally, all products come with additional insurance to cover damage caused by transport or extraordinary circumstances—just contact us if you have any questions.

Can I get custom-made items or individual adjustments?

Answer:
Yes, almost anything is possible – from size and shape to table legs and surface treatment. Contact us, and we'll create your dream unique piece.

Where does teak come from?

Answer:
Our wood comes exclusively from sustainable, controlled forestry in Indonesia (FSC-like standards), has been naturally dried for over three years, and is guaranteed chemical-free. You can also find details on our website.

Can I reorder individual components (e.g. glass plate)?

Answer:
Yes, you can reorder or replace glass tops, table legs, or other parts from us at any time – for maximum longevity and flexibility.

Can I reserve the table?

Answer:
We offer a free reservation for up to 7 days. With a deposit, we'll store your unique piece for up to 3 months free of charge.

Why are real hardwood tables more expensive than ordinary furniture?

Answer:
Even a roughly cut, undried tree trunk with a diameter of 1 m costs at least CHF 910 in Europe. A solid, handcrafted table made from a real tree trunk remains beautiful and valuable for decades—many customers have even been able to resell their table at its original price.

Is there a used market or a take-back?

Answer:
Our pieces retain their value so well that many customers resell them after years at almost new price. We accept returns of individual pieces if they originate from our factory and are in top condition.

Is Buddha decoration really unique in Switzerland?

Answer:
Yes, we are the only provider who is responsible for the design, wood selection, production, and import ourselves – not mass-produced goods, but truly unique pieces that you won't find anywhere else.

Can I view, touch and see the table in real light?

Answer:
Anytime – our showroom is open Monday to Saturday, so you can take your time, look around and decide in peace.

How does shipping work? How is the table packaged?

Answer:
We ship immediately after receipt of payment, securely packaged on wooden pallets and protective materials. You will typically receive your table within 2–5 days. All packaging costs are included in the price, and delivery is available throughout Switzerland with reliable partners such as Planzer or the Swiss Post.

Is the table suitable for outdoor use? What should I consider for permanent outdoor use?

Answer:
Yes, our teak is naturally extremely weather-resistant, withstanding rain, sun, and temperature fluctuations for decades—making it suitable for gardens, balconies, and even year-round, unprotected outdoor use. Teak bridges can last over 100 years in water! Simple maintenance is sufficient: occasional cleaning and occasional wiping with a cloth.
