A table that is more than just a piece of furniture
Every inch of this root table has been shaped by time, nature, and the hand of man. The mighty teak tree slice, grown for decades under sun and rain, meets craftsmanship perfection here: The natural, organic form has been deliberately preserved; every knothole and every root tells of life, wind, and storms. The inset glass top captures the curve of the grain—as if it were a river connecting two worlds: the power of the original and the clarity of the present.
Here, nature and craftsmanship merge to create something no mass-produced product can ever offer. The warm, golden wood, with its dense, fine grain, natural scent, and oily surface, is more than just durable – it transforms with you, gaining depth, color, and expression over the years. Every touch, every polish, has been adapted to the character of this unique piece. There is no template, no duplicate, no copy.
A table, like a piece of home and a sign of style.

What makes this teak root table unique?
-
Genuine handcraft – no two pieces are the same:
While industrial furniture relies on mass production, this table is customized: every detail (edge, glass, root) follows the natural shape of the wood. -
Material strength & durability:
Our tree slices are solid (usually >8 cm thick), unlike many furniture pieces with thin veneers or sandwich construction. This makes the table indestructible, remaining stable and beautiful for generations. -
Naturalness & ease of care:
No varnish, no chemicals: The oil and resins from the teak make the tabletop naturally durable, antibacterial, water-resistant, and heat-resistant. Unlike delicate spruce or pine furniture, it easily withstands moisture, tea, or wine stains—simply wipe it off, and you're done. -
Individual glass design:
The curved glass insert is handmade and removable. It enhances the unique look while also protecting delicate wood. No mass-produced product can offer this harmony. -
Sustainability & Origin:
Our tables are created in direct collaboration with Indonesian master artisans from certified sustainable sources. They're not only eco-friendly, but also carry a story you can feel – something you don't get with cheap, mass-produced items. -
Diverse spatial effects:
The natural, warm color scheme and organic shape suit every style – from modern to classic, from urban to rural. A piece of furniture that adapts to your life – not the other way around. -
Emotional connection & appreciation:
Many customers report that even years later, they still feel joy and pride when looking at their table every day. It becomes part of their family history – often passed down or even increased in value.

Is your store near me? Can I view multiple root tables at once?
Our showroom is located right on the border between Zurich and Schaffhausen – many of our customers travel from all over Switzerland to compare dozens of unique pieces on site. It's worth a visit, as each table looks different and is waiting for the right person.
Can I exchange or choose again if I'm unsure?

Why do real solid wood tables cost more than other furniture?
The raw material itself is extremely valuable (a rough tree slice costs over CHF 910 per square meter). Each table is unique, handcrafted, durable for decades, and retains its value—often even resold at its original price.
Is there a second-hand market or take-back for these tables?
Our tables retain their value so well that they are often passed on privately or sold at their original price. We don't offer returns, but we're happy to advise you on resale options.
How is the table delivered and packaged? How quickly will it arrive?
All tables are securely packaged (on a wooden pallet or cardboard box), shipped free of charge, and usually arrive within 2-5 days. Tables under 30 kg are shipped by mail, while heavier ones are shipped by Planzer (usually the next business day).
Is the table suitable for outdoor use?
Yes! Teak is extremely weather-resistant and can be used permanently in the garden or even on an open balcony. Only occasional cleaning is necessary.
“A true piece of nature – for people who aren’t just looking for furniture, but want to create a home with soul.”
