Emotional Description – What Makes This Table So Special?

This tree table is not a standard industrial product, but an individual piece crafted from solid natural wood.

Every curve and every grain pattern was shaped by growth, wind, weather and time. The tabletop consists of a single, non-glued tree slice made from solid acacia/Suar wood. Its natural shape has been preserved and carefully finished by hand.

Its form resembles a large flower or the shoreline of an island: organic, inviting and impossible to reproduce. Depending on the viewing angle, the lively grain can evoke landscapes, rivers or other natural structures.

The table therefore becomes an expression of individuality, durability and warmth – a piece of furniture that provides more than a useful surface and helps define the character of the entire room.

The Unique Soul of This Tree Table – Shaped by Nature and Preserved for Your Home

This coffee table is not simply made from a tree slice; every centimetre bears nature’s unmistakable signature.

The organic tabletop follows the tree’s natural growth lines, knots and flowing contours. The surface was sanded by hand, while the live edge, grain and naturally grown outline were preserved and remain visible.

Every line, swirl and natural irregularity was shaped by time, wind and weather. These characteristic traces of growth remain visible and make the table a true one-of-a-kind piece.

While many conventional coffee tables are made from glued panels or veneer, this table features a single solid wood tree slice approximately 8 cm thick.

Its irregular, almost sculptural form – at times resembling an island and at others a flower – cannot be reproduced identically. It becomes a striking focal point in a living room or reception area and invites you to discover its naturally grown details from different angles.

Who Is This Table For?

For Families and Couples Who Love Their Home

The irregular, inviting shape provides space for conversations, games, drinks and the small objects of everyday life together. With a surface measuring approximately 99 × 77 cm, the table is particularly well suited to small and medium-sized sofa areas.

For Wood Lovers and Nature Enthusiasts

Anyone who appreciates authentic materials will immediately recognise this table’s distinctive character. The live edge, knots, growth rings and colour variations remain visible, allowing the natural origin of the tree slice to be fully appreciated.

For Discerning Design Lovers

Neither symmetrical nor standardised: the flower-like outline, substantial solid wood slab and black metal frame combine an organic natural form with clean, modern design. The table complements modern, classic, rustic and Asian-inspired interiors.

For People Who Appreciate Quality and Origin

The acacia/Suar wood comes from Indonesia and was naturally dried for at least 3 years before processing. The tabletop is made from a single solid tree slice and was carefully finished by hand.

Ways to Use It – Inspiration for Everyday Living

• Living room centrepiece: As the central piece of furniture, the table adds warmth and a natural accent to modern or classic interiors.

• Companion for a reading corner or fireplace: The organic form offers space for books, drinks, candles or selected decorative objects.

• Coffee table for small and medium-sized seating areas: Its almost square shape works well with two- and three-seater sofas, corner sofas and combinations of a sofa and armchair.

• Office, studio or reception area: As a distinctive one-of-a-kind piece, the table combines a practical surface with individual natural wood design.

• Balcony or terrace: The specially water-resistant sealing of the wood pores and natural openings also allows the table to be used outdoors. Weather and UV light may alter the colour over time; standing water should be avoided.

Unique and Distinctive Features

1. Irregular, Naturally Grown Shape

The shape follows the natural growth of the tree rather than a measuring tape. The live edge, grain, growth rings and flower-like outline cannot be reproduced identically.

2. Substantial Thickness and Quality

At approximately 8 cm thick, the solid tree slice has a substantial and striking appearance. The black metal frame provides stable support and creates a clear contrast with the warm natural wood.

3. Hand-Sanded and Specially Sealed

The tabletop was sanded by hand and has not been oiled. Wood pores, knots and natural openings were sealed using a special technique and treated for water resistance without concealing the distinctive grain.

4. Easy to Maintain in Everyday Use

For routine cleaning, a soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Spilled liquids should be removed promptly. Aggressive cleaning products, abrasive sponges and permanently standing water should be avoided.

5. Premium Solid Wood Instead of Veneer

The tabletop consists of a single tree slice approximately 8 cm thick rather than veneer or glued boards. A comparable tree slice measuring around 1 metre in diameter can cost approximately CHF 1,300 on the market, while premium hardwood can cost around CHF 3,800 per m³.

How Does This Table Differ from Conventional Coffee Tables?

• Not mass-produced: The shape, grain and live edge exist only on this particular table.

• One single tree slice: No glued boards and no veneer.

• Naturally dried for at least 3 years: The rare Suar wood, prepared over an extended period, significantly reduces the risk of later cracking, warping and pest problems.

• Careful craftsmanship: The tabletop was sanded by hand and specially sealed.

• Versatile design: The combination of an organic natural form and a black metal frame complements a variety of interior styles.

• Direct import: The solid acacia/Suar wood comes from Indonesia, and we import the finished table directly into Switzerland.
