Two Hearts, One Flow of Life

If you are looking for something truly unique, this table does more than shape the character of your living room – it also tells a story. The twin grain pattern resembles two circles of life, while the natural split becomes a symbol of change and connection. This powerful appearance cannot be created in a sawmill; it can only emerge through patience and respect for the material’s natural origins. Touch the table and you can feel its velvety texture, depth and the unmistakable substance of genuine natural wood. Look at it closely and you will continue to discover new forms, like the topography of an unfamiliar world.

Who Is This Unique Table For?

1. For People Who See Their Home as More Than Just a Place

Is your home a place for genuine closeness and meaningful moments? This table can become its natural centre: a place for conversations, quiet pauses, shared enjoyment and lasting memories. Its divided growth rings reflect connection and the course of life.

2. For Nature Purists & Wood Lovers

Do you appreciate natural grain and the authentic feel of solid wood? Everything remains visible here: every growth ring, every fibre and every organic live edge – individually grown and carefully finished by hand.

3. For Design Enthusiasts with a Taste for the Unusual

Do you want to combine individuality and style with everyday practicality? This shape and its “double heart” can never be repeated. The table complements minimalist, modern and more playful interiors alike.

4. For Explorers, Connoisseurs and Welcoming Hosts

Inspired by Its Natural Form

  • Living-room centrepiece: The divided grain is ideal for open spaces, as a connecting element between two seating areas or as a visual highlight between a sofa and armchair.

  • Conservatory/studio: The natural knots and double heart create a sense of vitality and grounding – ideal for rooms that combine tranquillity and creativity.

  • Reception area/showroom: As a one-of-a-kind piece, this table immediately attracts attention and makes a statement about quality, style and an appreciation of the exceptional.

  • Balcony/terrace: The specially sealed wood pores and natural openings provide water-resistant protection, allowing the table to be used outdoors. Weather and UV exposure may change the colour over time; standing water should be avoided.

What Makes This Table Impossible to Copy?

A moment no algorithm can replicate:
Imagine sitting at this table as light moves across the twin grain pattern and the split between the two sections becomes a symbol of every detour and every shared experience. Each knot tells a story of storms, survival and growth. There is no repetition here, only genuine, living history. This is exactly what our customers appreciate: the magic of bringing a small piece of nature into everyday life with every touch – authentic, enduring and lasting.

What Makes It Different from Other Tables?

  1. Two centres of life – a design reflecting connection, duality and harmony
Unlike a mass-produced product, this table features a rare twin grain pattern shaped by nature and time – for couples, friends and families who value symbolism and connection.

  2. Solid wood from a single slab
The approximately 8 cm thick tabletop consists of a single, unglued slab of solid suar wood. This rare wood was naturally dried for at least three years before being individually finished by hand.

  3. Carefully protected surface
The hard suar wood was sanded by hand and left unoiled. The wood pores, knots and natural openings were sealed using a special technique and given water-resistant protection. A soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient for normal cleaning.

  4. Variety of form & versatile styling
Its free-flowing shape and organic edge allow the table to complement modern, classic and creative interior concepts – a versatile piece with genuine character.

  5. Natural character and solid quality
The visible grain, natural live edge, knots and colour variations are all preserved. The solid suar wood slab gives every table its unmistakable character.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions About This Wood-Slab Coffee Table

What makes this table special?

The approximately 8 cm thick tabletop consists of a single, unglued slab of solid suar wood. Two distinctive growth-ring centres, the naturally formed split, knots and organic live edge make this table an irreproducible one-of-a-kind piece.

Where does the wood come from, and how was it processed?

The solid suar wood comes from Indonesia and was naturally dried for at least three years before processing. The tabletop was then sanded by hand. It is not oiled; the wood pores, knots and natural openings were specially sealed and given water-resistant protection.

Why is this solid wood table more expensive than conventional furniture?

The tabletop consists of a single, approximately 8 cm thick solid wood slab rather than glued boards or veneer. Suar wood that has been stored for an extended period and naturally dried for at least three years is rare; we pay approximately three times the usual material price for it. For comparison, a wood slab measuring around one metre in diameter can cost approximately CHF 1,300 on the market, while high-quality hardwood can cost around CHF 3,800 per cubic metre.

Is the table delivered fully assembled?

Yes. The table legs are already fitted. The table is delivered complete and ready to use.

How is the table delivered?

The table is carefully packed and transported securely on a pallet. Delivery within Switzerland costs CHF 69 and normally takes 1–3 working days. Collection in Schaffhausen is also available by appointment.

Can the table also be used outdoors?

Yes. The special water-resistant sealing of the wood pores and natural openings allows the table to be used on a terrace or balcony. Weather and UV exposure may change the colour over time; standing water should be avoided.

How should I care for the tabletop?

For normal cleaning, a soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Aggressive cleaning products and abrasive sponges should be avoided. If you have questions about future care, we provide free lifetime care advice.

Can I view the table before purchasing it?

Yes. Viewings are available daily between 1:30 pm and 5:00 pm by prior appointment at our warehouse at Ebnatstrasse 65, 8200 Schaffhausen. On request, we can prepare several suitable tables for a direct comparison.

Can I reserve the table?

Yes. We will reserve the table free of charge for up to seven days. With a deposit, it can be stored free of charge for up to three months by arrangement.

Can I receive advice about the right size before purchasing?

Yes. Send us a photograph of your living room together with the dimensions of your sofa and the available space. We can then provide additional product photographs and a brief assessment of the most suitable table size.

What return, exchange and warranty services apply?

The table comes with a 14-day right of return, a 30-day exchange period and a five-year warranty covering material and manufacturing defects. We also provide free lifetime care advice and long-term maintenance and repair services.
