Why this table is more than furniture

Imagine touching a tabletop whose lines, knots, and colors no designer in the world could ever have drawn: Every inch speaks of tropical rain, sunlight, and the slow passing of years. This small root table made of solid teak is not a piece of furniture, but a natural work of art—constructed from a decades-old tree slab and supported by a primeval teak root.
Its scent, its surface, its warm brown—all of this quietly speaks to how much more a table can be than just a place for cups and books. It lends every room a sense of comfort, authenticity, and value—for people who value real wood, real history, and real nature in their lives.

Anyone who finds themselves in this table

    1. For the couple living “at home”:
This piece of nature brings a quiet warmth to your family life—as a coffee table around which children, parents, and friends gather for breakfast, reading, or evening conversation. Many customers tell us they always linger at this table a little longer—because it feels like a piece of home.

    2. For lovers of nature and crafts:
Each table demonstrates that handcrafting isn't just about shaping wood—it's about giving nature space to remain visible. The fine grain, the knots, the natural cracks, and the free form celebrate everything that industrial mass-produced goods can't offer. "I don't buy a piece of furniture, I buy real wood"—we hear that again and again.

    3. For design lovers with high standards:
Minimalist, powerful, and full of character. Nature, not a factory, guided the design process here. Its asymmetrical shape, heavy material, and unique root construction make this table a statement—yet it remains timeless.

    4. For explorers of the extraordinary:
Whether in the office, lounge, conservatory, or on the balcony – this table tells stories of faraway lands, of tropical Indonesia, of sustainable forestry. The wood still breathes, fragrant, and remains alive. This is precisely what makes it a favorite among people who want to stand out with their interior design.

    Inspiration from real life

    • In the living room:
As a coffee table, it's large enough for coffee, books, and flowers, yet compact enough to keep the room airy. Its sturdy construction can withstand even the wildest game nights.

    • On the balcony or in the garden:
Weatherproof and dimensionally stable – the wood withstands rain, sun, and frost, remaining silky smooth and splinter-free. Perfect for an outdoor aperitif.

    • In the reception lounge or office:
As a statement piece that provides conversation material and amazes your guests – not an industrial product, but a truly unique piece.

    • In an open space, conservatory or hotel:
Its natural shape integrates harmoniously into modern and classic environments, making the room warmer and more inviting.

What makes this table absolutely unique:
It's not just handmade—it's hand-picked, by nature itself. The tabletop is made from a single, solid, irregularly grown teak tree slice—no glue, no veneer. The legs are made from real teak roots, with every branch and every curve preserved in their original form.
There's no other identical combination of wood, grain, and shape anywhere in the world. Many customers tell us, "I've never seen the same table twice."
The natural scent, the weight, the knowledge of the decades-long history of this wood make it an heirloom – and a daily companion that shows you how long-lasting beauty can be.

Comparison & unique selling points to competitors

    1. Material authenticity & sustainability:
Unlike most market offerings made from cheap veneers, particleboard, or mass-produced materials, our tables are made exclusively from solid, certified sustainable teak. No chemicals, no varnish, no tricks.

    2. Extreme robustness & durability:
Teak has a hardness that spruce and pine can only dream of: 1,500 ibf instead of 350 ibf. This ensures that your table will remain stable, scratch-resistant, water-repellent even after decades—and valuable for generations to come.

    3. Unique natural shapes & surfaces:
No two tables are alike. The natural, vibrant edges, knotholes, and individual tree edges—these are works of art, not factory-made products. Our customers often come by several times a year because they discover something new each time.

    4. Stability of value:
Even the raw panels cost many times more than mass-produced furniture – but that's precisely what makes these tables a valuable investment. Many customers have even been able to resell them at their original price.

    5. Emotion & Story:
Every table carries a story, from the tropical rainforest to your living room. Customers report that they find new joy in every knothole, every color transition—and enjoy gathering friends, family, or guests around this table.

    6. Exclusive supply chain & genuine handcraft:
Buddha Deko is the only brand in Switzerland with its own design, direct contact with the artisans in Indonesia and exclusive, distinctive one-of-a-kind pieces – from the selection of the tree to the finished table.
